GPR-derived snow depth profiles in Fuglebekken catchment, Hornsund, Svalbard – Spring 2022

Summary

This dataset contains snow depth measurements derived from Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) surveys conducted in the Fuglebekken catchment near the Polish Polar Station Hornsund, Svalbard. The survey was performed on 29 April 2022. The work was funded by the SIOS Snow Pilot project.

Content

Processing

Raw radar data were processed in ReflexW software to identify snow-ground interfaces. Snow depth horizons were manually picked and exported as ASCII tables for further analysis.
