Re-evaluation of intraday measurements of total column ozone at Belsk using the Dobson spectrophotometer No.84 for the period from 23 March 1963 up to 31 December 2023

Monitoring of total column ozone (TCO3) at Belsk, Poland, by the Dobson spectrophotometer No. 84 have been carried out since 23 March 1963. In total, ∼ 134 000 intraday manual TCO3 observations were made by 31 December 2023. These observations were performed for different combinations of double wavelength pairs (AD or CD) in the ultraviolet range and observation types, i.e., direct sun (DS), zenith blue (ZB), and zenith cloudy (ZC) depending on weather conditions. Prior analyses, outliers and data coding errors were removed from the set of TCO3 measurements. The long-term stability of the Belsk’s instrument was supported by frequent (almost every 4 years) inter-comparisons with the world standard spectrophotometer (since 1974). The TCO3 database includes original data and data adjusted for: the long-term drift in results of the ZC observations, dependence of the ozone absorbing coefficient of temperature, and stray-light effect.
