Repeated electrical resistivity tomography data for the Orzepowice lateral embankment at Rybnik Reservoir

The repository contains three Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) datasets acquired at the Orzepowice lateral embankment of the Rybnik Reservoir, southern Poland, during field campaigns conducted in 2023 and 2024. The datasets comprise measurements from Site X, Site Y, and the 2024 survey.

All ERT data were acquired using an ABEM Terrameter LS 2 resistivity imaging system operating in a 12 channel configuration. Measurements were performed using a gradient electrode array.

The Site X dataset was collected in 2023 and consists of eight approximately parallel profiles oriented predominantly perpendicular to the embankment axis. Measurements were acquired with 1 m electrode spacing, giving profile lengths of approximately 38 to 39 m. The spacing between neighbouring profiles was generally 2 to 3 m.

The Site Y dataset was also collected in 2023 using 1 m electrode spacing. Five profiles were acquired. Three profiles were approximately 38 to 39 m long, while two longer profiles extended to approximately 80 m. The profiles were oriented predominantly perpendicular to the embankment axis.

The 2024 dataset includes profiles ERT03 to ERT10. Most profiles were oriented approximately parallel to the embankment axis and acquired with 2 m electrode spacing using a roll along procedure, resulting in profile lengths of approximately 160 m. The spacing between neighbouring longitudinal profiles was approximately 2 m. Two transverse profiles, ERT06 and ERT07, were approximately 80 m long.

Electrode geometry and topography were documented using RTK GNSS measurements, with every electrode position surveyed during the 2024 campaign.
