Sediment Flux (SedFlux) with the Loss on Ignition (LOI) from sediment traps exposed in Hansbukta and other regions in Hornsund Fjord (Spitsbergen, Svalbard). The samples (1l) were filtered through Whatman GF/F 0.7 μm filters that had been previously dried for 2 h at 200°C and weighed. After filtering, the filters were rinsed with fresh water and were dried for 24 h at 40°C and weighed again to calculate the SPM. Subsequently, all filters were heated at 550°C for 3 h to calculate the LOI. The data file includes information: date of exposed sediment traps (start and end), station name, geographical position, depth, calculate SedFlux (g/(m^2 per day)), and LOI (percentage).
This data set includes data from Longhorn monitoring with extra data from research projects included in the IG PAS Data Portal.
